Australian Native Plants
Australia’s harsh climate has allowed plants to develop traits that allow them to survive in extreme conditions and has produced unique biodiversity. Consequently, native Australian plants have evolved to develop highly efficient mechanisms to create and store vital compounds to maintain their life force. For example, they have developed an efficient system to shield themselves from oxidative stress caused by free radicals induced by Australia’s harsh sunlight.
NUNKERI uses innovative technology to extract the active ingredients from Australian plants. It consists of suspending the plants in a liquid matrix that maintains the integrity of the plants' molecules and their natural synergies, just as they exist in nature. This technology creates an equilibrium between plant cells and the liquid medium that simulates the cellular environment.
The medium enters the cell walls to dissolve phytoactive compounds in it, without stressing or damaging the plants' cells. In this way, the plants' water- and fat-soluble compounds recreate the plants' unique profile. The extraction of compounds as they exist in nature allows for production of stable products that stay active for long periods of time.
Previous methods of extraction were not friendly to the plants' delicate molecular equilibrium, leaving them damaged or inactive. Hence, they require synthetic substitutions to compensate for their weaknesses and imitate natural plant profiles.
